Personality/Background: Anjiti is somewhat a tranquil spirit who everyone naturally turns to for help and guidance. Even as a young tiger cub, her three friends - one of which was her younger adopted brother Julien - always turned to her for answers. It probably didn't help the fact that she is one to pick up a book and read it only once before every word within it has been imprinted onto her brain. This photographic memory has - in her future and thus amongst the Rebels - earned her the nickname of 'Walking Dictionary'.
Alas, Anjiti's history was not a favourable one. Born wild to a pair of golden Bengal tigers and alongside two golden siblings, she was abandoned almost as soon as she was born. It was only by chance that a middle aged Buddhist Monk found her blind and struggling to survive. The monk took her in in the hopes that he would one day be able to release her. But five months later, all that changed when the two found a baby boy with faint red and yellow coloured skin amongst visible diamond like patches over his body. The boy's name - according to a note found with him - was Julien Conrad Leonard Guerra van Wuruhi. As with Anjiti, the monk adopted the boy as his own and took him into his house. The next morning, however, Anjiti woke to find herself in a human body. Next to that, her human body was three years old. It was strange for both her and the monk, but when baby Julien saw her, he instantly smiled and let out a little gurgle. From that moment on, Anjiti decided she liked the kid and did everything she could to make him both happy and healthy.
In fact, Anjiti loved her younger brother so much that the two were practically inseparable. Even when magic worked its way over the household once more and froze the tiger cub's age until Julien had reached the same age, the two remained together. It was almost as if they were twins. The two played and got into mischief together and even made the same friends together; a male Indian leopard cub named Kairav and a female sloth bear cub named Charu. The four even grew up together.
But then a series of events happened. The first was the monk had contracted a terminal illness and had suddenly died, leaving everything he owned - including his house -to his two adopted children who were, by that time, 19 years old. The second thing happened a few months later when Julien was working on a potion for his then girlfriend, the sloth bear Charu, to give her a human form. The potion went horribly wrong and caused the death of Charu, Kairav to be cursed to walk the planet like a ghost despite still being alive, Julien's age to freeze (amongst other things later discovered), and Anjiti's animal form to change. It was on that day that Anjiti the white tiger became no more; instead becoming Anjiti the brown wolf. And along with the change came the hatred and the caution that she now bears towards her adopted brother that she had once loved and cherished for so long. The third and final thing that happened turned out to be both a blessing and a curse. And it started when Julien received a very formal looking letter in the mail exactly one month after the potion accident.
Yes, Anjiti was happy for her brother that he got to go to some grand school (or so he told her), but she was more than a little annoyed at him when she found out that she was going to live in a zoo in Africa. Not to mention angry at him for leaving her 'stranded' there for years and only showing up once in 1972 only to leave again at the beginning of the new year. But the good thing about being forced to live in Africa was that, not only did she fall in love and mate with the alpha male wolf in the zoo pack, but she also had three sons and two daughters whom she named Chunli, Jayesh, Anika, Kuram and Kama. Being the alpha female also had its perks, but Anjiti would have rather been with her old friends and her brother in a time now long gone... and her mate, Manik, noticed. When Manik died, however, Anjiti found yet another downfall to the potion accident; when she should have died, she instead gave birth to a young female that looked exactly like herself and her soul was transferred to the young pup leaving the zoo keepers to find the empty body of her former self.
Anjiti would probably never forgive her brother for the potion accident after discovering that. But she eventually learnt not to show it. Even more so when Sarabi and Kratia came along and the three became quite good friends. And yet, despite the fact that her two young friends reminded her so much of her older friend Charu, she could tell that they could sense her sadness. At that point she mentally braced herself for the young curiosity that was bound to show itself as the tiger and jaguar cubs tried to figure out what it was that was wrong with their friend. Thankfully, Kratia and Sarabi learnt to stop pestering the wolf about her past as the two of them grew older, much to Anjiti's relief.
Moving to Australia, however, turned out to be one of the happiest times of her life, just like Kratia had said (which was eventually what managed to convince the wolf to move) for it was in this new country that she met and fell in love with a mixed breed dog morpher by the name of Kubikuro Haythen. And without realising it, she broke her part of the curse. It turned out that all she had to do was find and fall in love with the one person who had inherited at birth all the good qualities and characteristics of the old Kairav that she had previously fallen in love with. Ever since, Anjiti and Kubikuro have been together and happy, raising three separate litters of wolf cross pups as well as one human born son. Alas it was while she was lying on her death bed - years after helping create the Rebels and two years after Kubikuro's own death - that she finally forgave her adopted brother for everything that had happened in the past.
