Personality/Background: Ebony is the reincarnation of Kaygis' first love, Natalie Richards, to a pair of jaguars living up in Norway. Much like her previous self, she has a tendency to 'bite first, ask questions later' and she often comes across as standoffish to anyone she does not know. But she is quick to warm up to others and, despite being easily confused, is also a fast learner. However, when she is worried, she quickly loses her hard-natured exterior and replaces it with almost complete submission.
The only exception to all this is when she first met Kaygis. Admittedly, she had been watching the keepers of the nature reserve release the still drugged Kaygis and continued to stalk him throughout the area, easily putting him on edge. But the reason for it was because she felt like she had known him despite not having met him before in her relatively young life. Yes, she got angry after getting caught, but that was natural defence. She quickly calmed down, though, and stayed by the boy's side until his rescue, teaching him Norwegian and that he was a jaguar himself, as well as learning off him throughout the months that he spent in the reserve. By the time Kaygis' rescuers had arrived, she was heavily pregnant with his children and he would not lose her a second time so Ebony went along with Kaygis and found herself joining the Rebels gang.
Of course, becoming a mother made the jaguar more protective than she had been previously, and not even Kaygis was allowed to witness the arrival of his children when the time came after everyone was all safely back on Mythos Island. And she was like this for all of her pregnancies (much to the doctors' surprise during her later deliveries of her youngest daughters - both at different times). She would only allow a few select people in to the birthing room, she was that protective.
Yet, despite all of this, Ebony is a bit of a dreamer. And, unfortunately, most of those dreams don't really come true. She likes cooking, but can't seem to manage more than a couple of decent meals a fortnight due to her over-eagerness to produce something and either burning it or not cooking it long enough and thus making it inedible. She's tried dancing, but with two left feet, those dreams went down the drain... especially after she broke her leg during one particularly nasty dance practice session. And the many jobs she's had have all seemed to end in failure due to one reason or another. Not to mention, she isn't all that good with accounting; a slight setback when your husband has started his own building company and is trying to get you to work on the books while he's out building things. In fact, if it wasn't for her best friend, Sundri, discovering her hidden talent of singing and pushing her into a singing competition on television, no one would have ever found out that they had a star in amongst the Rebels Gang.
Sadly, Ebony didn't win the competition, but she came away with many a lesson from the experience and started her career in singing, eventually becoming famous the world over as the first morphing singer. She would often sing about her life as a morpher or as a Rebels member, and, with the help of Lazer, she learnt how to write her own songs. And the funny thing was, the world didn't believe that her songs were more often than not based on her life experiences... especially when it came to her first album 'Time Travel' which contained songs on her meeting Kaygis, the Rebels, saving Luigi from death in the Colosseum, blowing up Vesuvius, and other things that had happened during her travels through time in order to help fix the present. Her final album 'The Dream' was basically her farewell to her singing career, containing songs that she had both written herself as well as cover songs; she retired from her career after the birth of her first grandchildren, a set of twins who were sired by Tyson. The album was also dedicated to her grandchildren in hopes that they would always follow their dreams, no matter where they led them.
Ebony still sung from time to time, up until she reached age seventy. By then, her voice had gotten too weak for her to continue, despite her then nine-year-old, eldest grandchildren wanting her to continue. When news came of her death at the ripe age of eighty-eight, the world was shocked. As with many famous celebrities, the world grieved heavily; creating tributes for her and sending her family many letters and gifts of condolences. Her family and friends, however, didn't fall too deep into grief at her passing, knowing what she had been like and that she would not have wanted to be mourned. Admittedly, it was Kaygis who found that she had slipped away in her sleep, and though he was deeply saddened, he was thankful that she had gone peacefully and had had a life full of happiness.
