Personality/Background: Born the middle child of a Maori father and an English-New Zealand mother, Michelle has always been surrounded by history and myths. Especially considering both her parents are historians with one specialising in myths and legends and other cultural histories, and the other specialising in ancient histories of the world. Michelle, however, likes to live in today's era, choosing to focus her attention on playing games and, as she grew into her teenage years, computer coding. Then again, she has always been good with her mind... never mind the fortress of stuffed animals that is currently her room. It surprises all four of her siblings how she can work within what they call her 'den'. Her parents gave up telling her to clean out the 'clutter'.
Michelle was one of the first new members to join the Rebels Ancient after discovering she could morph into a silver gryphon in New Zealand and moving to Australia when she was in her mid teens. She found out about the Rebels thanks to going to school with gang members but was hesitant to go near them because of her father. It was her friend, Camira Quinn, and her adopted brother Elliot, that urged her to even just talk to some of the Rebels members after school one day. It was then that she learnt that the newest group of Rebels, the Rebels Ancient was looking for new members. Reece Valore, Leader of the Ancients, happily welcomed the three of them, making Michelle the first 'myth' morpher of the sub-gang.
The one time she went clubbing with her friends, when she was twenty one, Michelle ended up getting completely drunk and had gotten together with some guy who was also drunk. The meeting turning into a one night stand that resulted in Michelle getting pregnant. However, the gryphon morpher, though ashamed at herself for what she had allowed herself to do, refused to let go of the child she bore despite what her father was telling, almost demanding, her to do. She kept the gender a secret until the child's birth, entrusting the knowledge to Runo (who was one of those at the club with her). When her son was born, she named him Bernard, however, her father kicked her out of the house. Runo immediately took both mother and child into her own house, caring for both of them to the point where she started seeing the two as part of her own family.
It wasn't until Michelle had been living with Runo for nearly a year that she realised she was starting to form feelings for her friend and saviour. It scared her to think that she was falling in love with her best friend and she often found herself lying awake at night, trying to sort out her emotions. She also wasn't sure what to think about her son starting to call Runo 'Oo-Oo', especially seeing as it was his second word. She was just thankful that she was still in touch with her older brother despite their father keeping the rest of the family away from Michelle. It was with his help that she managed to overcome her fears and accept her love. About a month after that, Michelle got up the courage ask Runo to be her girlfriend. Runo was more than happy to become her partner.
The two got married when Bernard was four years old, inviting who they could of their families and friends. And despite the day being about them, neither of the two newly weds could deny that the cutest moment of the wedding was when Bernard was helped down the isle by his uncle, dressed in a little tuxedo and carrying the wedding rings. And, as promised, Runo took Michelle to meet her father in the Isle of Dragons for their honeymoon, where the two underwent the family tradition of the Crystal Ritual, where they carved a crystal chamber that would forever entomb one of their feathers before placing their carved crystal around the neck of their mate. Michelle also found herself glad that Runo's family happily accepted her into their pride despite being a human born gryphon morpher with a child.
While visiting Runo's father in the Isle of Dragons, a few months after their first wedding anniversary, Michelle made the decision to adopt an orphan winged lion cub into their small family. Runo, who had wanted a child of her own, was more than happy at the surprise and the two adopted a male cub by the name of Gahiji. At first, having a new member in the family was challenging, especially for Bernard who started feeling jealous of his new little brother, but with a bit of time, the family were able to come together. Gahiji took well to his new life as a human morpher living in Australia and, despite having been turned into a three year old due to the morph, looked up to his new brother. Michelle was even able to start following her dream as a game designer after the adoption, often using the adventures that her sons would find themselves in as inspiration for her games.
